NTLDR error

Hey, can anyone help, a friend of mine brought her hard
drive over to copy some stuff and it worked fine, except
for some reason we couldn't open .avi files, but mp3's
and pictures did load. Anyways, now she took it home with
the files copied, and she connected the hdd back into her
pc, but gets a NTLDR error, and we can't figure out the
problem. I've looked in the microsoft help center, but
this isn't an XP installation upgrade problem.
Help please.

"The Computer Does Not Start After You Change the Active Partition by Using
the Disk Management Tool
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article: 315261 - After you use the Windows Disk
Management snap-in tool to mark your primary partition as active, the
computer may not start, and you may receive the following error message:
NTLDR is missing. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart."

Did she change the jumpers on her drive from Master to Slave when she
connected to your computer and then forgot to switch them back?

Use a Win98 boot disk to boot the computer, and run FDISK Use FDISK to set
the boot partition as Active.

If you don't have a 98 startup disk, the files to create one can be
downloaded from www.bootdisk.com
