NTFS

Well... yes, you should be able to convert it to NTFS, but you'll no longer
be able to run Windows ME from it.

Windows ME is unable to read NTFS partitions, so it wouldn't be able to
boot.

You can convert the file system - but the ME will no longer work. It
does not understand NTFS and will not run from an NTFS partition
