ntfs to fat32 file system

When reformatting and reinstalling windows xp is it possible to swtich from
the ntfs file system to the fat32 file system and if so how do you do this.

You cannot with the applications provided with WinXP. There are several
third party applications which will let you do this.

Partition Magig and bootitNG are a couple.

no changing from NTFS to FAT32 from within MS there might be some 3rd party
applications that will do it
