NTFS permissions

The My Documents folder is encrypted on my XP SP1
machine. For some reason I cannot open any documents from
that folder. It says I do not have access privileges. I
am a local admin and it is my own MY Documents folder. I
checked permissions and all was well. I tried it from
other admin accounts with the same effect. I can see the
files but cannot open or copy them. Help.
 
If you force changed your password from another account, this will be the case. If you restored your files from a backup, after reinstalling Windows XP, and you did not back up your encryption certificates, your data is history.
