Cannot delete folders from My Docs (including by Admin)

I cannot delete any folder in My Documents but everywhere else they delete; I
can delete FILES from My Docs.

Some details: all drives are dynamic, NTFS, with one mirrored dynVolume
mounted to User\My Documents. I am in a domain but all user accounts are
Admins (I am the only user on this system). The same situatino exists when
logged on locally.

I have reset ACL permissions to defaults using KBID313222, tried Xcacls
amongst other permission editors, and nothing has worked. I have cleared
special permissions from My Docs, then the root drive for that volume, then
C:, taken ownership (even though I already had it), you name it, I have tried
it.

Cacls routinely shows that both usernames (domain and local) have full
control of all files but I still cannot delete folders from My Docs.

Is there some discrepancy when using a folder as a mountpoint for security?

Any thoughts on how to reset permissions so that I can delete folders? (yes,
I tried Cacls). System works fine otherwise.

My guess is this is related to the permissions on the root directory of the
mounted volume. If I recall correctly, when you examine or change permissions
on the "My Documents" folder you will be looking at the permissions of the mount
point, not the permissions of the root directory on the volume. It's the volume
permissions that control access.

Try adding a drive letter to the volume (volumes can be mounted in multiple
places so you don't need to remove the existing mount) and checking the
permissions that way.

Harry.
