I recently upgraded to a larger hard drive because my old hard drive was
failing. So I cloned my old hard drive onto one partition of my new drive and
created a second partition made up of the remaining room. So my disk setup
looks like:
(One physical disk)
\_ Primary Partition 1: "C" (NTFS)
\_ Primary Partition 2: "D" (NTFS)
Everything looked OK until I found that I couldn't cut-and-paste from one
partition to the other--Explorer hangs and then Windows can't shutdown
because Explorer is "currently working on a file". I can copy-and-paste OK.
That is, I can't cut from C:\ and paste to D:\, but I can copy from C:\ and
paste to D:\.
I can also cut-and-paste and copy-and-paste to my external hard drive
(FAT32) without problem. I just have a problem with D:\
Does anyone know what's wrong?
