Thanks so much for the help. Although the problem did not work w/ CW shreder it did work with HackThis. I was wondering. I'm wondering what cuased this. I assume it had to do with a spitbot and the ntdll.dll file. Do you have any more links explaining this more? Thanks again for the help

I reinstalled it a few ways

1. uninstalled in add/remove and restarted and reinstalle
2. uninstalled in add/remove and installed ie 6.0 (latest version) off a cd
3. uninstalled in add/remove and installed off of xp home C

Did you upgrade to WinXP? Uninstalling/Reinstalling IE and/or OE cannot be
done in any those ways in WinXP; see
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=318378.

You may have been able to uninstall IE6-SP1 via Add/Remove Programs (which
would still leave you with IE6) but that would mean you hadn't installed
WinXP-SP1 in the first place...which you should have done.

Did you post a HijackThis log to one of the forums? Just wondering which
(spyware/parasite) program caused the problem.
