Have been using NTbackup on Windows XP Professional for the last three
months with no issues. It backs up to a SCSI HP tape drive. Last night the
job would not run and I get a hanging application ntbackup.exe error in the
event viewer. I rebooted and then tried to run a local backup job to a file
and it stops at the using shadow backup and the computer hangs.
I think I can rule out the tape drive, but is there a way just to reload the
Backup portion of this without reloading the computer..most other notes here
talk about XP home and this is Professional.
Thanks for any help.
