NTbackup - security; date stamp; dir structure & no files

I have a few questions regarding ntbackup. I'm running it in XP Pro SP 3.

1) Is there any way to secure the backup file? Can you put a password on
it? I know there is the option to restrict access to owner and admin, but if
someone gets a copy of the backup file, they can still restore onto another
computer where they have admin rights.

2) Is there a way to create a new file each time a scheduled backup is run?
Right now I have to open the job each day and change the file name that is
being created? Could I write a .bat file that runs NTbackup from the command
line and uses "%date%" in the filename?

3) Is there anyway to backup directory structure but not files? We
recently restored from an ntbackup and the directories were there but the
files were not. It is alleged that one of the IT employees did something to
the backup job that caused this, but I cannot recreate the problem.

The built-in NTBackup system is extremely limited and would possible
not do what you want. You need to look at different software.
