I have several machines that I have upgraded from Win
2000 sp4 to XP Pro sp1. I am unable to use ntbackup on
any of them. XP generates errors will attempting to
start the program.

Is this a known issue and if so what might be the fix. I
have not tried reinstalling ntbackup yet as I don't want
to muddy things up if there is another way.

Make certain yours is the version that comes with Windows XP (5.2600xxx).
Find the file, go to the files properties and check the version.
