ntbackup strangeness

HI,
Fixed last issue with ntbackup but now have a new one.

This is an XP workstation,

Backup is set on schedule (2 times a week) and is set to verify data after
backing up.
The backup report does not show that the verify happened, and the event log
also does not show the verify happened. No trace of a verify at all. I
triple checked the settings and the verify box is definetly checked. It is
acting just like the verify box is not checked.

I can't seem to find an answer to this by searching around, anyone have any
ideas?

Are you already running SP3? If so, there've been a couple of update
to ntbackup.exe since SP3 was released.

Let's see your full ntbackup command (with switches!) and the contents of
your backup log.

About the last issue you had: You never reported how you resolved your
problem. This forum is meant to benefit all its readers, not just the
original poster. If posters ask questions but never take the time to report
the final resolution then other people with the same problem will be none
the wiser.

For this issue, I just now realized that I was reading an old log, and
didn't set the schedule to backup until this week.
Chalk it up to operator error on my part.
For the last issue, I xcopied files as suggested, and got NO errors for
either set of files. Still trying to generate same error message with no
luck. I have backup scheduled for lunch time today so I will know more in
the afternoon.

Thanks for your assistance so far.
