NT4 not booting up properly..need to use Task manager to open programs

Can anyone help when i boot out Nt4 server (PDC) I have to
use task manager to run any/all exe's Explorer is there
and not deleted ....confused?

Running iexplore.exe might fix your problem.

.Why Iexplore? When the server boots it doesnt go to a

desktop when you can access for example control panel

so any exe's have to be run by using task manager..just

dont undersatnd what Iexplore would do..please explain

Thanks I just tried that..and although it shows up in task
manager it doesnt open any windows at all?? any other
ideas?
