Is it possible to use DVD/RW with an updated NTbackup ?

Or does anyone now of a free/affordable program that can make backup on
DVD/RW ?

I know that for example Nero can be used, but i want a small program for
this.

The built in backup program won't use CD's or DVD's. Must use third party or
create a local file from the backup and then manually copy that to the CD.

Not that I know of. I believe you need to create the backup file first and
then burn it to a cd. Take a look at Norton Ghost - you can make a bootable
image to a cd/dvd. I bough the Systemworks Professional [includes Ghost for
ntfs] from New Egg for $23 last year. --- Steve

If this server has your businesses criticall data then backup is not an area in wich you want to be cheap gauranteed. Professional data recovery can cost up to $1000 a drive. Use backup exec or some other well known fully functional backup solution, and get a DAT drive or something, By the time you spend all that money on discs you will have ended paying more in the end.
