NT Authority System Shutdown

Dave

I am running XP on my DELL Laptop. After about 5 minutes
on the internet (Earthlink)I receive a message that I have
a problem associated with LSASS and there is an NT
Authority System shutdown. Within a few seconds there is
a 60-second notification of a shutdown and reboot.

Using the downloaded MS tools I have attempted to elimate
possible Blaster & Sasser viruses (but none exist). I
just don't know what is causing this automatic shut down.
Your help would be appreciated.

Just search these news groups and find the thousands of post like your and
you will find the fix.
Or do a google search Sasser.

Forgot to add:
Then type: shutdown -a , and hit enter.
This should halt the rebooting problem.

I have the same problem - the Microsoft site search says
it's a bug that can be fixed with Service pack updat - the
problem is the only list this in Windows 2000.
