ZoneAlarm works fine and it has a free version, you can download it at:

And Jetico Personal Firewall may be another good option, it great at
leak tests, however you might need some related knowledge to configure
it.

Sygate can still be dowloaded, and hasn't had a critical patch in over a
year. The chance of it needing another one is remote.

Only use this if you are preapred to spend a lot of time on learning the
quirks of this one.

Pros

1. Light weight
2. Good against leak tests (if you value this)
3. Very customisable.

Cons

1. Uncomfortable interface
2. Rules setting is complicated
3. Does not run as a service - It will start working only after you log
on
4. Does not automatically query and update hash of applications in
application rules.
