Now An Endless Cycle Of Startup Screen Boxes

What am I doing wrong?! I previously posted about my
problem with ghosting a partition with Windows 2000 and
getting an endlessly cycling "Low Virtual Memory" startup
warning box. Jetro helped me out, and I got the ghosted
drive to not hang up and cycle on the "Low Virtual Memory"
startup warning box. Now, though, it cycles
between "Saving settings" and "Loading your personal
settings" startup information boxes endlessly. I used to
be able to ghost Win2k partitions without any problem, so
I think there must be something in one of the service
packs that's causing this.

I found the answer: based on info I found in MS Knowledge
Base article number 249321, I simply booted up off an old
Win98 floppy and typed in "fdisk/mbr". I've spent days
looking for this solution. Just another demonstration
that Microsoft didn't get where it is today by designing
better software . . .
