Novell Client 4.9 for Windows

Has any one see a significate logon performance difference once installing
this on Windows 2003 Server family? It takes now for ever to logon. The
network is using only IP. Anyone?

have you run these suggestions?

did you make sure slp server & client side (usually distributed via dhcp)
are setup correctly?

Thanks for the links....didn't know 4.9 has a patch
already....interesting I'll let the group now the results

Hi Keith,
I simple unselected the run-script checkbox, and removed the prefered
server box, and things are much quicker to logon. Since am try to logon to
a Domain Controller and running NDS, both are not required to run.

I have not installed A patch, and noticed that is still in beta. Plus the
fixes did not apply to the symptom that I was noticing.

Interesting that you brought up SLP. I was told on the Novell side they are
running SLP, but this service will be replaced by Windows 2003 DNS and DHCP
services.

Right-now things are back to normal performance.
