Notify someone that I have responded to an email for them

I have a user that wants to be able to notify her boss when she has responded
to an email for him. She does not want to send him the reply but instead
just notify him that she has taken care of the email. Any suggestions?

If she's accessing his mailbox directly, she could flag them complete.
Otherwise, the best way is to reply or forward the reply to him and say it
was taken care of. I would probably not BCC him on the message, just reply
or forward it separately for his files.

Receipts won't work unless reading the message = taken care of. Tasks can be
marked completed, but it seems silly (to me at least) to make a task and
mark it complete for each message she takes care of.
