Tools>Options - make sure that 'Play sound when new messages arrive' is enabled, then go to Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices>Sounds. Scroll down the list until you find 'New Mail Notification', click on it and then either accept the given sound (if one) or click on Browse to select your own sound.
