Hello

When I click onthe link in an email (hotmail) from microsoft "click here to
continue receiving notifications of this thread" --

this is what I get -- an almost blank page with
<?xmlversion="1.0"
encoding="utf-8"?>
<root>
<status>1<status>
</root>

I get this instead of it taking me to the forums, like it has before.

What is this? Is it anything serious and what should I do?

I have xp pro, IE7 Beta 2.

Thanks for any help.

Every time this problem comes up (frequently), it seems like PA Bear
comes back with "running IE7?". Since you say you are, I'd check in the
newsgroup for the IE7 beta. This apparently is a known issue and the
folks there will know all about it. (I'm sorry, but I don't or I would
tell you.)

Thank you, Malke. I will check with the IE 7 people. Not sure when this
started, if it was before I put in the IE 7 or not.

Here is a link to information by MVP Frank Saunders about problems with
links in OE:

http://www.fjsmjs.com/OE/nolinks.htm

If that doesn't help, then do ask the IE7 newsgroup experts. Remember,
"beta" means software that isn't finished and is still in the
bug-checking phase. Too many people install beta software on machines
without realizing that you should never install beta stuff on a
production machine or on any computer which you are unwilling to wipe.

Here is a link with all the MS newsgroups; you may want to crosspost to
an OE group along with the IE7 one:

crossposting
