My brother-in-law has gone a bit crazy and has something like 35 or 37 icons
in the notification area next to the clock. The machine takes about 4
minutes to boot up because of all these programs loading and his wife has
threatened divorce unless he gets it to boot up in a reasonable time )
I know that XP can 'Hide inactive icons' but does that actually stop
programs loading at startup or does it just literally hide the program
icons? He admits that he only needs about 5% of the things in ther to
actually run at startup, so how does he stop the other 95% that he doesn't
need?
Thanks,
Mogweed.
