MS Antispyware--icon in Notification Area(System tray)

My wife's laptop runs XP Pro with SP2, no Windows Firewall since she's behind
a hardware router/firewall shield. I downloaded and installed the Beta 1
version--everything runs fine but one thing is screwy--I want the icon to be
in the Notification Area. It was for a few days and then it disappeared. I
did Properties>Customize Notification Area>Always Show the MS Antispyware
icon. It has found its way into the Past Items column. I can't get it back
and visible! The real time protection is running--I can see it in any list
of running processes I bring up. Anybody know how to get the icon back?
Seems to me I've been here before with another application. The General
Settings tab is okay--hide the icon is not checked.

This is not a critical thing--just curious as to why I can't dredge it up.
