nothing will open

I can't open or load anything in Windows XP. The error
messages indicate either "msvcp60.dll" or "mfc42.dll" are
missing (depends on what I'm trying to open)and the items
cannot be opened. I can't open any system tools in
Windows, or Norton Utilites to try and redo files.

Where are these files located and can I reload them?

I'm no expert but it looks like those are McAfee files.
You should look them up on google.com. If they are delete
them.

Oh, what cool advice, to delete files that are missing....

On the serious side, those are MS .dll files that are found in \i386
and its \ASMS subfolders.
