notes on meeting invitations

Is it possible to put private notes for the meeting on an invitation you
receive and save it for future reference without everyone else seeing your
notes?

what happens when you try? Other attendees shouldn't see them, but anyone
with permission to your calendar folder will see it (and all other
appointments).
