Notes body from Powerpoint 2000 only prints when in color?

I have a older training presentation created under 2000. There is nothing
unusual or unique about the notes body section. I am running Powerpoint 2003
(xp) and the notes don't show when printing the Notes Pages unless I select
COLOR. With GRAYSCALE or PURE B/W - no notes.
Has anyone seen this problem? Or know of a fix?

I suspect that there *is* something odd about the notes section.

First off, you can do View, Black And White (or View, Color/Grayscale, etc) to
see what PPT will do when printing to a b/w printer. That'll save trees and
time.

Next, do View, Master, Notes Master. Rightclick the notes master body text
placeholder and choose Grayscale Setting. By default it'll be set to Automatic.

If it's set to anything else, set it back.

Close Master view, then check the notes placeholder on a couple of your notes
pages as well ... same thing, check the Grayscale setting.

Setting it back to Automatic should make it all work.

That did the trick - the notes body was set to WHITE.
THANK YOU!!!!

Great, glad to hear it.

Doesn't it make you wonder, though, how it GOT that way?
