Did you try going to C:\Windows Folder and scrolling down to Notepad.exe.
Double click and see if it works. If yes rt
click and select Send to Desktop as shortcut.

you seem to be quite knowledgeable....how about this....every time i try and
make a back up of quick books..it takes it fine...go to restore it and it
says "NOT A VALID WIN32 APPLICATION...CASEY
