Hello all! I'm running Windows XP sp2, did the latest updates etc.
This is a Dell B110 Dimension only 1 year old. My problem is that
ever since I can remember, when Notepad opens all I get is the title
bar showing Notepad and the minimize, maximize and close button. The
rest of the window is not there unless I maximize it, then it
appears. Does anyone know an easy fix for this? Thanks!

Notepad remembers its size when you close it, even if you've shrunk it
down to nothing but the title bar.

Can you drag the bottom of its window downwards?

Don't click Maximize. Hover over the corner of the "window". When the
pointer changes to the Resize pointer, click and drag the window to
resize. Close the window, and try again; the new size should be remembered.

Hi,

Have you tried "grabbing" the bottom edge of the title bar with you
left mouse button to see the double arrow, and then dragging this
bottom edge down?

Thanks everyone, that did the trick. Don't know why I never thought
about that!
