Notepad 'thinks' it cannot open documents but opens them any way?

|Everytime I open a document in notepad it comes up with an error message
stating 'note pad cannot find the document <document path>. Please make sure
you typed in the ducument path correctly'?

Even though this error comes up on the screen it still opens the document.

Make sure you have notepad.exe in both C:\Windows and C
\Windows\System32. If it is missing in one of those places, copy it
there from the other place.
