Notepad problem..

hi, can somebody help me, somethings wrong with my notepad, If i clic
on something thats gonna open in notepad, a black box pops up.. then a
option thing pops out sayin "C:\windows\system32\notepad.EXE the NTVD
CPU has encountered an illegal instruction. CS:0537 IP:01a6 OP:63 6f 7
6e 74 Choose 'close' to terminate the application"

can somebody help me out, i just searched for notepad and i opene
it, it opened ok, then i saved it and tried to open it and that messag
popped out agai
