Notepad.exe

Having problem with Notepad.exe. I cannot download
updates for Windows XP because Norepad.exe cannot be
found. All updates remain in limbo in Windows files.
I've heard that the cause that deleted Notepad.exe was a
virus, but I have McAfee auto-update to prevent viruses
entering my system - so I thought. How can I restore
this Notepad.exe program??
