gaslide.e help please?

Toby

Hello, I recently contracted gaslide.e on my XP sp2 system and my virus
checker removed the offending article, however it also deleted notepad.exe.
I now can only use notepad by copying notepad.exe in my system32 folder and
using a renamed notepad32.exe (ie copying notepad.exe and renaming it
notepad32.exe) this isn't right, can anyone please help me restore the
notepad.exe instead of notepad32.exe, I have no viruses left, nod32 and Kav
4.5 pro saw to this?

Alternative:

EditPad Lite is an excellent Notepad replacement.
It's a lightweight text editor, but certainly not as basic
as the standard Notepad that comes with Windows.
