NOTEPAD.EXE Missing from Win XP Home Ed. HELP!?

So today, Im looking through my documents and I go to open a *.txt file and what do you know, I get a nice little window that says "NOTEPAD.EXE not found. Please varify the path and file name is correct." So I'm wondering... Where did it go!? I havent been poking around in my PC. It seems that I am the only person with this problem. I tried searching it up on microsoft.com and through the help and support program in windows, but nothing is showing up, not even a download for the program. I need help!?

Same problem here. I missed your post as I scanned this newsgroup the first
time around so I posted a similar question about notepad.exe.
