Not updating inbox column

Beemer

In Outlook 2003 I was sure that I used to see the latest received mail in my
inbox name/subject/date column immediately on arrival. Presently I can see
that I have new mail from the popup, the XP envelope and that my INBOX is
bold in the Personal Folders tree but I do not see the new mail/s in the
Inbox list until I scroll up or if the highlighted mail is already at the
top select another box e.g. outbox then go back to INBOX whereupon I see the
new mail/s at the top.

Hope I explained this okay?

Are you sorting on the Received column?

Brian,

Yes "arranged by : Date "newest on top"

My comment about being able to scroll up to see the new incoming mail was
incorrect. If it is hidden then I have to change to a different box then
back to Inbox after which the new mail is seen

Possible firewall issue. Try adding Outlook to the firewall exception list.
