how do i find information using vista home basic for ownership of a p.c.? if
i wanted to give my p.c. to my son? i would want to change my name to his?
all the software is legally owned by me and i would want to give to him!
think this would be pefectly legal seeing i purchased all things typed
about? if anyone could instruct me it would be helpful and make my son
surprised when i give to him! thank you in advance! i will buy a new system
in the near future i hope :)

Don't worry about it. The software is tied to the computer so no big deal.
Just give him all the disks and manuals that came with the computer.

All MicroSquish really wants is to make sure it's not pirated.

Hi Jim,

As long as your son has the product key number for the Vista Home
Basic, then that and any Vista installation dvd is all he really needs.
To be legal, it just needs to be installed on only one computer at one
time. No multiple installations.

This tutorial will show you how to change the Registered Owner and
Organization Information in Vista.

Hi Shawn. I don't believe it would be illegal if it was installed on 2
machines at one time. It would only be a violation of the EULA.
