(Not Responding)

I am constantly (I mean ALWAYS) getting (Not Responding)
When I log onto the internet. I am using a cable high
speed connection through a LAN in the house. THe other
computers are working fine. They are all on windows XP.
ANd internet explorer 6.

Any ideas?

What is the exact error message?

Did you rule out parasites.
