Not receiving messages or not downloading

receiving the following error. checked settings are correct, using cable
modem and have Windows XP with Outlook 2003...


Task 'mail.comcast.net - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The
connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact
your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
