someone will eventually have the answer. The
ctrl+alt+del keyboard shortcut does not bring up the task
manager on my eMachine with Windows XP. BUT, I can click
on the task bar and pull up the task manager or type
taskmgr in the run bar and both of those methods work.
But, Ctrl+Alt+Del does nothing at all.
I've reset my computer back to the day I bought it (2
weeks ago) and that didn't help.
I've ran virus scan after virus scan and I found
nothing.
I've turned off the welcome sreen. That didn't help.
I can't reinstall the Windows XP CD because they didn't
include one. Now, they did include 3 disks with all the
software on it. I guess it could be on one of those 3
disks. But, I really don't want to have to reinstall all
the software if I don't have to.
There's got to be a way so the computer associates
Ctrl+Alt+Del with the task manager. I just don't know
where to go to fix the setting.
It may not even be a big deal. I don't know. If it's no
big deal, then I'll drop it and just live with it.
