not enough memory

I have a dual processor [(2) AMD 1200] with 756 mb 2100
ddr sdram. My problem is when publishing (rendering) a
movie in Flash MX I am getting an error message that
say's:
"Error creating flash movie. There was not enough memory
available".
I tried increasing the paiging size as well as the
registry size, but that did not solve the problem. Any
suggestions?

I don't know anything about this software, but I do write
software, so I will take a guess here and anyone feel free
to correct me :)

Graphics processing can get pretty intense, so I suspect
anything it is trying to render will have to be contained
in physical memory at the same time. My guess is a paging
file isn't going to help rendering. However, as it get's
done with rendering each frame and stores it to disk, then
disk space could become a factor. If you have multiple
drives, then you could see if there is a "temp" folder or
output folder setting that you could point to a larger
drive.

Does the software have the option to drop the resolution,
or could you render a shorter scene? Do shorter scenes
work or does all rendering give you the error? Is there
an option to create a bunch of short scenes and then join
them? I would look into that type of troubleshooting.

If shorter scenes work, then maybe the flash scene you are
trying to create is just too big (too many delta's per
frame, "characters", light sources, or whatever Flash MX
does :)

Maybe the site for Flash MX would have a board frequented
by people who use the software.

hi,

you got enuff free disk-space? might be that MX builds an extra tmp-file
on harddisk for saving by-the-way-infos.

while the errormsg, try to check your harddisk for newer temporary-files
and check wether they are very huge....

how about your settings from the virtual RAM?
I mean the swapfile... Make it to 1024MB and say windows that it is the
minimum and maximum...
That's al i can ddo for you.
It is a most problem with not enough RAM...
