not enough memory to paste pictures

what do i do when i get a message when i try to paste a picture on a slide
and a box pops up and says "not enough memory to do this opperation"
 
Are you pasting from another program? If so, save the image first and then
open it in powerpoint.

If the image is large, try resizing it.

Or maybe you just have too many programs running and eating up all your RAM.
Shut down any programs that you don't need or have been running for a long
time. (ie. Firefox, Photoshop)
