not able to see pics in my email (vista)

How can I get the red X boxes to go away? And start being able to actually
see what my email pictures and graphics are?
 
For incoming mail and if mail incoming is sent in html format
Tools/Options/Security/
Uncheck the box under Download Images
- block images and other external content in html mail
If you are reading in plain text the picture would be attached.
