Not able to see data while open excel file .

Hi all ,

I am facing a problem , where i tried to open the excel file by double clicking it , but it doesn't show any data and all the menus and icon found disabled ,but when i open it through open menu , it shows the data and no problem in that .
now i wanted to know why this is happening and what are the remedies ?

Problem with your office software. Repair or reinstall will fix the problem.
