Not able to do CRTL+ALT+DEL

I have tried powering down the laptop and starting it back
again many times but it comes up the window where it asks
us to do CRTL+ALT+DEL.....Thats where I hit on the keys
where it doesn't respond and doens't bring up the login
window.

have you installed anything recently? This happened to me
after I installed pcanywhere, there was a conflict with
the video. Can you start in safe mode? If so, get in
that way to view the event logs for any errors.
