Run your DVD program manually, then select options/settings/preferences/etc. and use the "associate" function.

DVD games or movies will not run

What is the make/model of the DVD drive?
Are there any available firmware updates?
Can you simply read data off the DVDs?

There is a probability that the DVD drive has gone bad.
