Not a valid account name or password

I was creating security settings for my database and i forgot to set a
password for the administrator. So now when i try to log into the database it
says "not a valid account name or password". I think the problem is because i
didn't create a password the first time around. That would mean that there is
only one administrator, and there is no password set for that admin. Is there
a default p.w. i could use if the p.w. was left blank? Also, somehow there
was a shortcut created on my desktop with the exact name as my database with
a file ext. of mdb1. This database i have access to without a problem with a
p.w. that I created after the fact. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Matt

Hi Matt,
I was creating security settings for my database and i forgot to set a
password for the administrator. So now when i try to log into the
database it says "not a valid account name or password". I think the
problem is because i didn't create a password the first time around.

In that case the password is blank; i.e. leave the password textbox blank
and click OK.

I was trying that and it was not working. I ended up deleting the system.mde
file and appears to have given me access again. I will try the wizard again.
Thanks for your help Joan.
