Not a Page Jacking problem - IE6 won't go to expected page in one XP profile

Apologies if this problem is vague but it's difficult to describe.
When I go to a particular website and click their button (not a link)
to search another page, a fresh window opens displaying the same
webpage I clicked from. This only happens in one XP profile. If I
access the same web page from another XP profile, it displays the
expected page. I tried restoring the IE defaults through the Tools
menu but I'm guessing I've missed something. Any info is greatly
appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Check for a file named HOSTS with no extension (not Hosts.sam). It may be a
hidden file. Open it with Notepad and remove any line referencing the site.
Or, rename HOSTS to OLDHOSTS

Thanks for the feedback.

Your suggestion of the HOST file got me thinking in another direction
to look. I found the problem was Proximitron, which I use as a web
filter. For whatever reason, it was having a problem with a job search
site I was using. Thanks again.
