Norton/McAfee

My Windows XP computer came with McAfee installed on it. I would prefer
Norton which I just purchased. Should I take McAfee off before installing
Norton or can I leave both of them on. Thanks. It's Norton 2003.

Neither AV is on my recommended list, however, always uninstall the previous
AV application before installing a second one. Although possible in some
instances to get two to behave together, it's generally very bad to have
more than one active scanning and getting the two to behave together can be
very problematic.

Definitely would remove McAfee. Good luck. The last time I uninstalled
MacAfee Virus I had to reformat my hard drive. Personally I think it is
crap also. Make sure after you remove it you search your registry and hard
drive for anything with a McAfee related file.
