how do I stop it, from asking me to click finish after the virus is found
repaired and quarantined.

I have looked at most of the settings but can not find where I stop it
asking me and to just quarantine it and done with.

I use Outlook Express as my mail programme. and Norton scans emails, (you
knew that I know)

any help is gratefully received.

thank you

Jason

i have spent most of the time since getting you reply, looking at the
Symantec, and have found nothing that give me even a clue as to what i
should do, i do not even know what to look for even.

every time i get a virus it freezes norton until i responed, which means
that my email box gets full up and i lose my mail that is ok, as it get
rejected due to full box.

i have also tried to get a new email address and still it too gets junk and
viruses, even when i knew to NOT list it in the index lists of the email
provider.

any one else know what i can do to stop this box from showing every time a
virus is found and have norton just delete or quarentine it with out letting
me know.

in the hope that someone can help solve this thank you in advance.

ps use an email program that you can delete virus infected emails on the
server instead of downloading them in the first place. I use Pegasus
Mail for example.

Have you looked under 'Configure'? Options on what to do when a virus is
found seem fairly clear.

yes they are, but still it shows this box asking what to do, even though it
is set to quarantine when found, I have just reset my pc so I know I have a
clean install.

it did not do this before I reset the pc, but I had no choice, the cd drive
broke, and have to reinstall the whole pc as other things started to go
wrong when I added a new cd drive.

any other ideas how to get it to what it was set to before, I am getting
hundreds of these worm viruses, and it is driving me crazy.

thanks

Jason

So checking "repair then silently quarantine (or delete) if unsuccessful"
under Options>E-Mail Scanning does no good?

Bruce

"repair then silently quarantine (or delete) if unsuccessful" option not
there

Norton Internet Security 2002 is what I have,
