I've been using this product for almost a year. I have adblocking enabled
and hadn't seen the first popup...until last week. All of the sudden I'm
inundated with them and I made no changes to that program. Anyone else have
the same trouble and was there a fix?

Have you run adaware or spybot to remove any spyware which could be causing
this.

Greetings --

I've come to the opinion that Symantec doesn't do a particularly
thorough job of keeping NIS's Ad-Block feature updated. Until very
recently, I used NIS 2002, and I noticed, as time moved on, that more
and more ads started getting through, as the advertisers developed
newer techniques. A few weeks ago, I decided to try the free Google
Toolbar ( http://toolbar.google.com/ ), and have been very pleased
with the results. Ads that used to get through NIS are stopped cold.
It may be that a newer version of NIS would stop the latest ads, but
why spend money on it if a free solution is available.
