Norton Internet Security (Anti-Virus) will not allow IE6 / OE to open

Recently purchased and installed Norton Internet Security on my system. The
install seemed to go through okay, but once it was loaded and enabled, it
would not allow OE or IE to open ("Cannot connect").

I tried on my father's computer = same response.

I have a P3, 450, high speed cable.

Anyy suggestions?

uninstall and reinstall it. "or" run the program scan
for access permissions for programs to the net.
or contact norton at symantec.com in support its free
and 1 or 2 days answer.
