Norton Disk Doctor & Win Xp

Does anyone have a program like Norton Disk Doctor that will run under
Win Xp. I am trying to restore a NTFS Partioin that has bad sector
"Sector Missing" errors. CHKDSK stopped after 33%. It apparently doesn't
write the corrections till it finishes the run. I can access with
DISKEDIT and might be able to copy the drive to a new one But I can't
afford another 40 Gig drive right now

A bad disk is a bad disk is a bad disk.

You can NOT repair bad "physical" errors. You can only repair "logical"
errors. It IS time for a new hard drive
